We had a wonderful time for the two weeks, the villa was superb, we were blessed with warm weather for whole two weeks. We managed to eat breakfast on the bedroom balcony every morning where we watched Kalkan wake up and a pair of owls return to your neighbour's villa after a nights hunting. RC

Kalkan

Kalkan is a beautiful and sophisticated bougainvillea-covered harbour village, set in a breathtaking landscape on the Turquoise Mediterranean coast of Turkey

Winding cobbled streets, colourful shops and excellent harbour-side or roof terrace restaurants and bars are combined with stunning views – whether you are looking up to the dramatic mountains behind the village, or down across the harbour to the broad sweep of the Mediterranean.

Kalkan is a small town (of only a few thousand) and this creates a wonderful intimate feeling. But don't let its size mislead you - there is plenty to do in and around Kalkan. During the day the town is surprisingly empty as most guests choose to swim or explore the multitude of beautiful ancient Lycian and natural sites of the area. However, everything changes in the evening when Kalkan bursts alive for a long, festive night. Dozens of restaurants offer a variety of excellent Mediterranean menus at very reasonable prices, often on a terrace overlooking the beautiful waters of Kalkan Bay.

Kalkan is a truly wonderful holiday destination.
