The village of Saribelen is situated on a plateau with stunning views of the Taurus mountains. The air is clear and fresh with the added bonus of no mosquitos! Air conditioning is not a necessity as the nights are cool enough for good sleep whilst the days are hot enough for sunbathing and swimming without the humidity of the coastal areas. The village boasts an exceedingly well stocked supermarket, with some goods costing less than in Kalkan, other shops where you can buy everything needed for the necessities of life and, of course, the ubiquitous tea house, all a short walk across the fields.

The countryside is ideal for the walker as the plateau is almost perfectly level and the road runs for several kilometers all around the village. To top it off there is a bus-stop just a few steps from the houses with at least four buses an hour to take you into Kalkan. Built in traditional design the houses retain the feeling of the old parts of Turkey with all mod cons on the inside.
